Srimanta Sankardeva wrote his books, sitting on the stone under the Silikha tree. In course of time his foot prints engraved on the stone and it was later found by Aai Kanaklata, while rediscovering Bardowa after more than 100 years of desertion. It is being worshipped by devotees of Eka Sarana Nam dharma as. the footprints of their Guru. There are two Padashillas one maintained by Salaguri Sattra on the southern side of Kirtanghar and the other one by Naroa Sattra on the northern side of Kirtanghar.
